Rotten Apple

that apple is rotten
yet she still want it.

that apple belongs to someone else
yet part of her heart still want it.

she thought she was close enough to reach that apple
yet she proved wrong again.

that apple is still precious to the owner.
so she walked back,
leaving the apple to where it belongs.

she stopped by a market downtown.
glancing through a basket full of apples.
the apples are all red and big.
oddly, none catch her eyes.

even the birds wonder why.
