Driving in One Night

guilt sneaked inside her heart.
when she realized one fell hardly for her.

she reminded him to watch out.
even told him that he's free to leave.

one peaceful night.

he appeared on her door.
smiling, clutching a key.
"go and drive." he said.
she smiled.

driving...
was not what she wanted.
she would choose to sit she thought.
she would like to sit quietly.
enjoying the beauty of the night sky.

she glanced back to him.
whispering a hint.
"i trust the key back to you. drive smartly and safely."

she laid back and smiled in remorse.
she was too fascinated by the night sky.
wishing the preservation of that moment.

she looked through his eyes.
sincerity.

she wanted to scream.
because she knew she would not be able to contain it.
believing she would not able to offer the same.

even the wind did not provide the answer.

and so,
she told herself.
she would just sit down and enjoy.
eventually this will perish.
and when it is,
she would not blame anyone but herself.
she did not want the door to be locked.
not that for her to escape.
but for him to set sail.

whether the star will fall or still.
no one knows.

and one day when he is too tired to drive.
she will thank him with her whole heart.
and drive on her own.

oh.
and of course she will glad to give him a ride next time when he needs it.
as long as it does not trespass the line!
